How It All Started: Our Story
Once upon a time there was a couple called Sarah and Shaun who met whilst working together at an Estate Agents in Hamworthy, Poole back in the early 1990’s, after a while of working together they decided to go it alone and become their own boss and opened their own estate agency in Holdenhurst Road, Bournemouth. Their Estate Agency -Tudor Estates was born and they worked hard through the 90’s property market crash and then into the boom years. During this time their first daughter was born.
Having been born and bred in Hamworthy for Sarah and Parkstone for Shaun they both longed to work back in Poole and be closer to home, when they noticed a commercial shop available in Moorland Way Parade, Upton, Poole they jumped at the chance and bought it straight away and Lewis Dean Estate & Letting Agents was created.
A few years later daughter number two was brewing but shockingly arrived two months earlier than expected and Sarah and Shaun soon felt that having two estate agency brands along with staff to manage as well as a premature baby and a four year old was stretching things a little too far so they sold their beloved Tudor Estates to a rival agency firm, but at least they were all back on home turf together.
Fast forward a few years (well 15 or so) and they are still passionate about property and more importantly passionate about helping people get to where they want to be, Sarah and Shaun love working and living on their home ground “ Poole”. Both daughters have grown and so have Sarah & Shaun as people, they now prefer to offer a bespoke quality service to their clients (often a very confidential service – no marketing) rather than deal with the quantity and pride themselves on the service they deliver to their clients.
In their spare time Sarah enjoys helping the local Upton, Hamworthy & Lytchett Matravers community with the promotion of their small businesses and charities and is a NUV with The Dorset Army Cadet Force, is an active member of VenFest a local Upton community event held each year and is an avid motorsport fan. Shaun’s spare time is taken up running the local Army Detachment, singing, playing guitar and competes in motorsport along with Sarah at Gurston Down.
